I have a jatoba fretboard on my esp ltd ec256. It shiny and feels like ebony, but looks like rosewood. I can't say what it sounds like because it is part of a guitar. I can say that it does work in its intended purpose.

Just wait, Jatoba darkens A LOT when exposed to sunlight. My Jatoba fretboard has darkened nicely and is now darker than my rosewood fretboards.
